While this is still the standard engine from the 2023 model, the engine is paired with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission and auto start and stop technology that allows drivers to get up to 26 miles per gallon.

The suspension includes a fully independent double A-arm front suspension that uses nitrogen-pressured shocks to keep you and your passengers comfortable while you drive, from the pavement to off-road and more. While two-wheel drive comes standard on the 2024 Ford Ranger, a 4x4 option is also available for upgrade.

Regardless of the engine you choose, the standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost or the 2.7L turbocharged V6, the Ranger is rated to tow up to 7,500 lbs. When the four-wheel drive system is equipped, the maximum payload rating drops to 1,711 lbs from the 1,805 on the rear-wheel system.

While the fuel economy rating has not been released yet, it is expected that the new Ranger has a comparable fuel efficiency to the 2023 model.
