2023 Toyota Highlander Release Date

Fall is approaching. And at Fort Dodge Ford Lincoln Toyota, we all know what that means: the 2023 Toyota Highlander is arriving soon! At least, so the rumors say. While a definite release date for the 2023 Toyota Highlander hasn’t been confirmed, there is a consensus that it will hit dealerships like ours this fall. We can barely hold our excitement. Here are some of the things we hope to see in this year’s Highlander based on what we know about the 2022 Highlander, info released from Toyota, and popular speculation. 

Powertrain

There are some exciting changes coming to the Toyota Highlander’s powertrain for the 2023 model. For years, the Highlander has run with the tried and true 3.5-liter V6 engine. Out with the old, in with the new: the 2023 Toyota Highlander will come equipped with a turbocharged, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes more torque and marginally less horsepower than its predecessor. What does this mean for you, the driver? Essentially this boils down to a similar driving experience with better fuel economy and more punch on the acceleration. We’re happy that Toyota feels confident enough about this new motor to replace a classic with updated, fine-tuned technology. The 2023 Toyota Highlander powertrain is a large part of what makes it such a highly anticipated vehicle. 

Interior And Features

We loved the 2022 Highlander and all of its features. Toyota is always innovating though.They’re rolling out a brand new, larger infotainment system with high quality graphics on the 2023 Highlander. This is enough to not only match the other infotainment systems on the market in vehicles similar to the Highlander, but likely outshine them too. Be sure to toy around with it when you take the 2023 Highlander for a test drive, but make sure to focus on the road too!

The Grand Highlander

There are rumors that the Highlander lineup may change in 2023. Much like what happened with some other SUV brands recently, Toyota is thinking about beefing up their high-end SUV lineup with something called the Grand Highlander. All we know about it right now is that it is rumored to have an extended wheelbase. We can’t wait to hear about the rest. When they’re out, we’ll be the first to stock them in the area. We just hope we don’t have to wait too long to get behind the wheel!
