Electric Toyota Vehicles Available

There’s no other way to say it, electric vehicles are all the rage. These once niche machines machines have become actually practical and cost effective as the electric vehicle technology continues to improve. They’ve made a corresponding explosive change to the automotive market in the last few years. Now every manufacturer, especially those with a history of being environmentally conscious, is looking for more ways to stock vehicles with electric powertrains. Toyota is no exception. As one of the pioneers in vehicles that are good for the environment as well as the gas tank receipt like the Prius, Toyota has continued with the name it has made for itself with a large selection of vehicles with electric powertrains. Below we’ll dive into Toyota’s new all-electric vehicle, as well as their plug-in hybrids and get a brief look at the hybrids as well.

 2023 Toyota bZ4X

The 2023 Toyota bZ4X is so coveted that it’s already sold out. Given how cool the electric Toyota SUV is, it’s easy to understand. With the bZ4X’s sleek, electric design, it’s a clear Tesla competitor- only it bares the reliable and reputable Toyota badge. The 6.4 second 0-60mph speed on the dual motor version of the bZ4X will make this a powerful vehicle that’s fun to drive too. Even the single motor version, whose powertrain makes 201 horsepower compared to the dual version’s 215, is sure to be snappy and clean for getting where you need to be. Both the XLE and Limited trims of the bZ4X can be outfitted with either motor, giving drivers full customizability over their driving speed and range. With the same batteries on both powertrain, the dual motor powertrain makes 160 highway miles, and the single motor powertrain travels 226. There’s a charge to 80 percent time of under an hour too!

The 2023 bZ4X is Toyota’s next foray into the all electric vehicle market, and given it being sold out just like other coveted electric cars, it’s sure to be a success.

Plug-in-Hybrid

Unlike hybrid vehicles who only use the electric motor as support at higher speeds, and fully to power slower speeds, plug-in-hybrids use the electric motor as their primary power source. This leads to an incredible amount of fuel savings as well as a significantly snappier pickup. The best part of p in hybrids is that there’s a gas motor to support you if you run out of charge. For many drivers unsure about the practicality of electric vehicles yet, this is the best of both worlds. As a bonus, drivers of plug-in-hybrids will also be able to apply for the government’s $7500 tax credit towards electric vehicles.

RAV4 Prime

While Toyota is no longer offering an all-electric version of the beloved RAV4, they are still offering the plug-in-hybrid RAV4 Prime. Faster than its non-electric counterparts with a 5.6 second 0-60, the RAV4 Prime is truly a feat of engineering prowess. However, its electric only range is only 42 miles – you’ll have to charge it daily to make sure you don’t use gas. That’s easy to do though with the XSE model whose charging  time is only 2.4 hours. A drivers have loved the RAV4 model for decades due to its high clearance and compact size. It’s only made better with its plug-in-hybrid capabilities.

2023 Prius Prime

The Toyota Prius has been a gas-saving staple of the Toyota lineup for decades, even before it was offered as a hybrid with its distinctive design! Toyota has used the Prius at its model for gas saving innovation in the years since. As one of the first vehicles to be offered as a hybrid and as a plug-in-hybrid, it’s clear why the Prius body styling is a household image. The 2023 Prius Prime offers a twist on the design for something distinctly sporty and electric. This compliments the, new for 2023, 225 horsepower on Prius Prime. It’s got a fantastic range of just below 40 miles on all electric, making for a combined 54mpge. All in all, the 2023 Prius Prime has given us a reason to love the Prius even more. The new design and powertrain are sure to win those over who once thought the Prius was a car for the soft.

Hybrid

There are too many hybrid Toyota vehicles to talk about each one! There are only a few vehicles Toyota doesn’t offer with a hybrid model. If you’re looking for fuel savings on your next Toyota, you’ll have your pick over almost the entire lineup.
