Base Bronco and the Big Bend

Ford's 2.3L Ecoboost engine powers the Base Bronco, although drivers can opt for the 2.7L Ecoboost V6 instead. The Base model also comes standard with a manual seven-speed transmission, but drivers who prefer to focus on road can opt for a ten-speed automatic. The Base has an 8.0-inch touchscreen in the front and five driving modes that help the vehicle conquer any terrain.

The Big Bend trim trades out the Base Bronco's 16 inch wheels for 17-inch ones, and adds an additional driving mode. The vehicle also has some additional luxuries: the steering wheel is wrapped in leather, and the carbonized grey grille on the SUV's front end matches the trim's wheels. The engine and transmission options match the Base Bronco, but those who opt for the Big Bend will have an additional three colors to choose from. This comes on top of the seven base colors.

The Black Diamond and Outer Banks Trims

The Black Diamond trim goes a step farther than the previous two options when it comes to off-roading. Ford added bash plates to the bottom of the vehicle to protect it from the worst that Mother Nature has to offer. They also added an additional driving mode; this trim has seven in total.

The wheels of the Black Diamond model are still 17 inches, but they're steel as opposed to aluminum as found on the Big Bend. This trim adds another color choice - Cyber Metallic Orange - for a total of 11 options.

While most of the Bronco models focus on off-road capability and rugged durability, the Outer Banks trim is designed to provide a more luxurious experience. While the vehicle retains its dependability, it also comes with LED lighting, heated front seats, and 18-inch wheels.

The Outer Banks trim also comes with the Mid package; this includes a remote start feature, dual-zone climate control, and Ford's suite of active safety features, called the Co-Pilot360.

The Wildtrak and Badlands Trims

The Wildtrak trim is billed as the desert-runner. It enjoys the Mid package detailed above, but also gets the Sasquatch off-road package. This includes 35-inch tires, locking axles, and high-clearance suspension, to name just some of the features.

The 2.7L Ecoboost engine and 10-speed manual transmission come standard on the Wildtrak trim. This Bronco model has heated cloth seats, but leather is an available option.

The Ford Bronco's premier standard trim is the Badlands model. It does not come standard with the Sasquatch package, allowing for customization, but off-road fanatics will want to opt for it.

The Badlands trim does include a suspension system with a hydraulic front sway bar disconnect, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. It has yet another driving mode, the Rock Crawler setting, and enjoys heavy-duty bumpers.
