New Year, New Toyota:
The 2023 Toyota Camry vs. 2024 Toyota Camry
For over twenty years, the Toyota Camry has been the top-selling sedan in the US, and for good reason. The impressive sedan combines comfort and excitement for an enjoyable and reliable experience on the road
Most vehicles undergo changes from year to year, and while the Camry is no different, the 2024 Toyota Camry has only made minor changes from the 2023 Toyota Camry, remaining predominantly the same from the previous year.
The Camry’s contemporary body is aesthetic and pleasing, with an hourglass-style design, diamond-shaped air vents, integrated headlights, and more. While there aren’t significant differences between the Camry models, let’s take a look at the similarities and differences between the two years.

A Bird’s Eye View: The 2023 Vs. 2024 Toyota Camry
There are plenty of trims available on the Toyota Camry to suit a large audience, but all models come with a variety of standard safety features. Overall a competent, dependable, and comfortable midsize sedan, the Toyota Camry has done a fantastic job for a long time within the automotive market.
While many car buyers look for larger vehicles, such as trucks and SUVs, the Camry has impressively stayed at the forefront as an excellent choice for a family sedan. The Toyota Camry has continued to offer six-cylinder powertrains, while many of its competitors now only offer inline-fours, enticing car buyers with a 301-horsepower V-6 at one end of the lineup and a hybrid four-cylinder trim at the other.
Not much has changed from the 2023 Toyota Camry to the 2024 Toyota Camry. In fact, the sole change is that Toyota has eliminated Amazon's Alexa interface from its infotainment system.
In terms of pricing, the 2024 Toyota Camry is $27,515 and goes up to $35,390, depending on your choice of trim and available features. The starting price for the 2023 Toyota Camry is $26,320. Regardless, you can expect the Toyota Camry to have the best price on the market for what it offers drivers.
Toyota Camry’s Engine and Performance
2024 sees the Toyota Camry’s capabilities as comparable to the previous model year, but there are still differences between the trim levels. The 2024 Camry offers the following trims: LE, SE, SE Nightshade, and XLE, in addition to the XSE and TRD. All except the XSE and TRD come with a four-cylinder engine that produces 203 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The SE and SE Nightshade add a sport-tuned suspension system and paddle shifters, while the XSE offers a slightly upgraded engine. The top TRD trim offers a V6 engine that produces 301 horsepower in addition to a sport exhaust and a special suspension system. The hybrid models hold a slightly less powerful engine paired with a battery and two electric motors that take advantage of regenerative braking.
The Fuel Economy of the Toyota Camry
The Toyota Camry is extremely fuel efficient, performing phenomenally in the EPA’s tests. The most effective non-hybrid models are the LE and SE with the four-cylinder, both earning an EPA-estimated 28 mpg city and 39 mpg highway.
The base 2024 Toyota Camry LE hybrid earned an impressive rating of 51 mpg city and 53 mpg highway, while the upper hybrid trims sacrifice some fuel efficiency in the name of luxury features. The models powered by the V-6 engine rated 22 mpg city and 33 mpg highway.
Interior and Comfort
The 2024 Toyota Camry carries the same instrument panel and center console into the new year, regardless of trim, leading to a surprising gap in the quality of materials between the base SE and the top-of-the-line XSE Hybrid. That being said, the XLE and XSE are surprisingly luxurious for a sedan at that price range.

Other features include a dual-zone climate control system, synthetic leather upholstery, heated front seats, a push-button ignition, a wireless charging pad, a digital screen for the driver's gauges, and a few others. Note that these features are more available in the higher-level trims and may come optional in lower-level trims.
Infotainment in the Toyota Camry
The only difference between the 2023 and 2024 Toyota Camry sedans is the removal of the Amazon Alexa interface that was available in 2023. The 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the Entune 3.0, is standard across the Camry lineup. An enhanced version is available, but even the basic system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
Toyota has made its driver-assistance technology standard on all Camry models. Some of these features include a Blind Spot Monitor With Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, a Panoramic View Monitor, Front and Rear Parking Assist With Automatic Braking, a Pre-Collision System With Pedestrian Detection, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert With Steering Assist, Road Sign Assist, and more.
Warranty Coverage
While other vehicles in the same class as the 2024 Toyota Camry offer longer warranty periods, Toyota holds its own with complimentary scheduled maintenance. Toyota has more than proved itself as a reliable automaker with vehicles you can count on, making the warranty less important.
The warranties include a limited warranty that covers three years or 36,000 miles, a powertrain warranty that covers five years or 60,000 miles, and complimentary maintenance that is covered for two years or 25,000 miles
