Does Lincoln have an electric vehicle?
Automakers around the world are pivoting towards electric vehicles. This trend has only been accelerated by the recent increase in the price of gasoline. Lincoln is one of these companies: they already have a plug-in hybrid vehicle. The company also has plans to further electrify their lineup! This raises an important point. "Electric vehicle" (EV) is a broad category: most people think of all-electric cars, but the term can also include hybrid vehicles. If one takes the broader definition, then Lincoln already has an electric vehicle, in the plug-in Aviator hybrid! Otherwise, Fort Dodge drivers will have to wait until later this year for the all-electric Lincoln Mark E to debut. This post is going to examine both the current electrified Aviator and Lincoln's upcoming EVs.

The Lincoln Aviator is Lincoln's mid-size luxury three-row SUV. It has plenty of space for your entire family and their cargo, but is a little easier to maneuver than the full-size Lincoln Navigator. This makes the Aviator a very appealing vehicle for Coalville drivers. As such, it is getting the full electrification treatment from Lincoln.
The 2022 Lincoln Aviator is available as a plug-in hybrid called the Aviator Grand Touring. It uses the same 400 horsepower twin-turbo V6 engine as the base Aviator, but it adds a powerful motor to the mix! They combine for a total of 494 ponies. The Aviator Grand Touring can also travel up to 18 miles in electric-only mode, meaning that you can run errands around Pocahontas without using a drop of fuel!
Lincoln has already announced plans to release more plug-in hybrids. The Corsair, one of Lincoln's two-row SUVs, is the next vehicle that will get the electric Grand Touring treatment, but more are sure to follow.
Upcoming Lincoln EV(s)
The all-electric Lincoln Mark E is slated to release this year, in 2022! There will be three trim levels: the Mark E Standard, Reserve, and Black Label. We don't have too many details past this, however. Lincoln has not told us what kind of motors will power the vehicle, or about its expected range. One thing we can be sure of is that these vehicles will all reflect Lincoln's commitments to luxury and performance.
The Mark E is not the only all-electric vehicle that Lincoln is pursuing. Experts expect an all-electric Aviator to be announced in the near future. We are also sure that a wide variety of Lincoln EVs will follow. These cars are going to be luxurious, fast, and - perhaps best of all - they will help you save at the pump!
